We’ve got some exciting news to share! Our little family is growing and we are expecting the newest member to arrive in September! Nothing official yet about the baby’s gender, but we have a strong suspicion that it will be a boy 🙂 Savannah will be such a great big sister as we have already observed her interact with her baby niece. She is so gentle with her baby niece and enjoys helping bring clean diapers, wipes, and pacifiers to the baby when needed. At home, she pretend plays by “changing” the diapers on her stuffed animals and tucking them all in under blankets to go “night-night.” It’s really quite precious and I have no doubts that her gentle caring instincts will continue once the new little one arrives.
I am already exhausted ALL. THE. TIME. So I’m not looking forward to a long string of sleepless nights, but somehow as mothers, we learn to adapt and make the best of it. And somehow we still function and life goes on, thank goodness. Baby brain has hit me full swing and I’m mixing up my holidays and months of the year… Happy Easter (NOT Thanksgiving) by the way!
I had Savannah “pose” for some photos and she did a good job the first time around! However, the goldfish cup, of course, is featured… again. BUT if having a cup of goldfish in the picture helps guarantee a cooperative toddler, then I’m all for it! The first session was on a cloudy day, and since she did SO well for that shoot, I thought we would try a sunny day for a bit of a different look. She was much less cooperative… even with the goldfish cup, but I think I still managed to capture some cute photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
