I loved this family session! This family had not had professional family photos completed since S had been born–over SIX years ago! It was definitely time to do some updated family photos and I was so happy to provide this service for them.
For this session, we went with one of the spots I had been eyeing for several weeks over at Fountain Creek Park. Fountain Creek is one of my favorite locations for sessions because it is so big and has ample opportunity to take quite a fun variety of photos. It is also a personal favorite of mine for recreation as well, so obviously I spend a lot of time scoping out perfect photography spots for my families.
This session was no exception! We found several perfect spots including the secluded bridge over the creek and a few with iconic Pike’s Peak in the background. They boys loved some of the more interactive photos including running up and hugging Mom and Dad. And those shots were so much fun!
Before their session, Dad had spent the afternoon at the race track with the boys. What a great time! However, I was worried the boys might be too worn out after spending so much time in the sun, but they did fantastic! They were so polite throughout the session. S instantly was excited to smile for me; J was a bit more hesitant, but after a few minutes of throwing rocks into the creek, out came his handsome smile.
Mom and Dad have known each other for over twelve years. They have created a beautiful live together and are raising two sweet boys. Mom has one of the greatest laughs I’ve ever heard. Dad was so laid back during the session. They really make a perfect pair. I enjoyed spending some time with this amazing family. I hope you like the photos!
